Our Mission

The mission of the Washington State Bar Foundation is to provide financial support for programs of the Washington State Bar Association that promote diversity within the legal profession and enhance the public’s access to, and understanding of, the justice system.

The Bar Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity.  

Why Give

Contributions help WSBA serve the public and advance justice through vital programs, like:

• the WSBA Home Foreclosure Legal Aid Project, which gives hope and help to thousands of families at risk of losing their homes
• the WYLD's First Responders Will Clinic, which helps protect the families and loved ones of those who put their lives on the lines for public safety
• the WSBA Leadership Institute, which prepares a new generation of leaders from historically under-represented backgrounds
• the Moderate Means Program, which brings affordable legal help to those beyond the reach of traditional civil legal aid, and

• public service initiatives of the Pro Bono & Legal Aid Committee, WSBA's practice sections, and more.
