Who will be WSBA's next president?
May 1, 2013 was the deadline for WSBA members to express interest in the position of WSBA president for 2014–2015. Pursuant to Article VI (D)(2) of the WSBA Bylaws, the 2014-2015 president may be an individual from anywhere within the state. The WSBA member selected to be president will have an opportunity to provide a significant contribution to the legal profession.
Anthony Gipe of Seattle is the only candidate for the position. He will be interviewed by the Board of Governors in open session at the May 31, 2013, meeting in Seattle. If selected, his term as president-elect will begin at the Annual Awards Dinner on September 26, 2013.
