Affiliate Transactions and Washington DOR Update
Co-Sponsored by the WSBA Tax Section (International, SALT and Transactional Tax Committees)
Since the recent decision in Getty Images (Seattle), Inc. v. City of Seattle, 163 Wn. App. 590, 260 P.3d 926 (2011) and related Department of Revenue Interim Statement regarding Getty Images, many Washington businesses have been reevaluating their treatment of affiliate transactions.
On Thursday, April 25, Amber Carter has graciously agreed to provide us with her perspective regarding post-Getty treatment of affiliate transactions in light of further stakeholder meetings planned for 2013 as well as DOR and legislative updates.
Amber is the current Government Affairs Director, Tax & Fiscal Policy, of the Association of Washington Business, Washington’s oldest and largest statewide business association that serves as both the state’s chamber of commerce and manufacturing and technology association.
