Admissions to Practice Rule 8(g) (APR 8(g))

Admissions to Practice Rule 8(g) (APR 8(g)) grants full-time, active-duty military lawyers who are currently stationed in Washington with a limited license to practice law in Washington’s civilian courts. To be certified, military lawyers must complete a 15-hour training program in Washington State law in traditional legal assistance areas such as consumer law, domestic relations, civil procedure, and ethics. Upon application, qualified active duty Judge Advocates attending this training will be invited to a swearing-in ceremony at the Washington State Supreme Court.
