Volunteer Attorney Training for Survivors of Human Trafficking in Washington State

Volunteer Attorney Training for Survivors of Human Trafficking in Washington State

Presented in partnership with the WSBA World Peace Through Law Section

The purpose of this program is to train Washington State attorneys with the specialized knowledge and skills required to assist them effectively with their legal needs, either as staff attorneys for legal services programs or as pro bono volunteers, organized through WARN (Washington Anti-Trafficking Response Network). Law students will be admitted so they may fill volunteer clerical roles and prepare the generation of attorneys for service.

Content and instructors for this program are provided through a grant to CAST and LAFLA from the US Department of Justice for training attorneys to serve human trafficking survivors with their legal needs. Substantive portions are interspersed with activities for reinforcement.
