27th Annual Northwest Bankruptcy Institute

Co-sponsored by the WSBA Creditor Debtor Rights Section and the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section

This year’s NW Bankruptcy Institute highlights the return of two favorite presenters. The Honorable Keith Lundin and Hank Hildebrand, Chapter 13 Trustee for the Middle District of Tennessee, bring their southern style of CLE back to the Pacific Northwest with their Chapter 13 update. The learning experience continues with a live demonstration of how to use an expert witness in bankruptcy court. In a twist on the Judges’ Panel, hear from those responsible for keeping things running smoothly in the bankruptcy courts—the law clerks. Other plenary sessions include hot topics in 363 sales, agricultural bankruptcies, and a comparison of mediation and judicial settlement conferences. Breakout session topics range from deciphering tax transcripts to postpetition financing, including large case fee guidelines. The lunch presentation will feature the Honorable Elizabeth Perris, who will discuss “Struggling Municipalities: Lessons Learned in the Mediation Trenches.”
