Construction Disputes: Picking the Right People and Forum - Annual Construction Law Meeting and Seminar

Presented in Partnership with the WSBA Construction Law Section

Attend this annual program to stay up-to-date on construction law with a focus on construction disputes. Join in a full day of presentations from experienced faculty, including attorneys, construction industry leaders, and dispute resolution professionals. Get legislative and case law updates, solid practice tips on navigating disputes, and samples of public and private contracts. 

Over the provided lunch, mingle with faculty and your colleagues and then hear a fascinating presentation on Big Bertha as a construction project (no credit for this lunch session) by David Sowers, Deputy AWV Program Administrator.

Presentations include:

  • Case law and legislative updates
  • Two presentations on the process of mediation, arbitration and other forms of ADR
  • A focused look at contract clauses, including sample language
  • Working with dispute review boards
  • Ethics scenarios related to your practice

Section members can also participate in the annual Construction Law election of new Council members.
