Sections members become part of active professional communities and gain access to an array of exclusive section member benefits. Over 10,000 WSBA members currently belong to one or more of the WSBA’s 28 sections. The section membership year begins Jan. 1.

In the past year, WSBA Sections have:

  • Hosted approximately 40 free CLE program (1–3 credits each, free to section members)
  • Published 24+ newsletter issues containing case law updates and other resources
  • Sponsored approximately 40 full-day CLE seminars and
  • Hosted 10+ professional networking events

Various sections offer a plethora of member benefits including but not limited to: list serve communities, newsletters, free and discounted CLEs, publications, opportunities to comment on legislation, and more.

Proposed Cannabis Law Section

The WSBA Board of Governors will consider the formation of a Cannabis Law Section at the upcoming meeting on Nov. 16. WSBA members seeking to form a Cannabis Law Section have met all formation requirements set forth by the WSBA Bylaws, including 150 signatures of endorsement. The first reading of this matter was discussed by the BOG at its September meeting. Feedback regarding the formation of a Cannabis Law Section can be shared with your district representative or any member of the WSBA Board of Governors.
