"Are We There Yet?" – A Roadmap for Appointed Counsel Under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act

by Mark E. Sullivan, Law Offices of Mark E. Sullivan, P.A.

Written for attorneys appointed as counsel for a servicemember under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, SCRA, Mr. Sullivan's roadmap is a valuable and timely resource. His article addresses the requirements and protections of the SCRA, steps for complying with legal counsel obligations under the Act, what's needed to protect your client, and how to complete your job and be discharged by the court. "A Judge's Guide to the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act" provides an overview of the Act and may be found at www.nclamp.gov (see: Resources).

Note: "Are We There Yet?" is posted on the WSBA LAMP Section website with the permission of Mark E. Sullivan.
