ESI Discovery Rule Changes

The Washington State Bar Association Rules Committee is considering recommendations of its ESI subcommittee regarding changes to the Civil Rules for Superior Court to address discovery of Electronic Stored Information (ESI). Below are the proposal and the positions of WSTLA, WDTL, and the International Association of Defense Counsel.

Washington Civil Trial and Evidence Manual: Voir Dire to Verdict

The Litigation Section strives to be the voice of civil litigators practicing in this state. The Section is involved in a wide range of activities of interest to those who handle civil matters in superior or federal court. Activities include review and formal input concerning legislation and rule making. The Section publishes a newsletter which keeps its members updated on current developments and events. 

The Section sponsors 

• an annual midyear seminar, skills training, 
• an annual dinner meeting with the Supreme Court for the Executive Committee, and
• production of various publications, including a quarterly newsletter, the Washington Civil Procedure Desk Book and the Civil Trial and Evidence Manual.
