Free Section Membership for New Lawyers

WSBA is offering two free section memberships per section for new and young lawyers who have never joined a WSBA section before.
The WSBA's 28 practice sections value and encourage participation from new and young lawyers. Section are ideal entry point for new/young lawyers finding their practice area community. Section members become part of active professional communities and gain access to an aray of exclusive section member benefits.
This exciting new offering is for licensed attorneys admitted to practice in Washington who are in good standing and qualify as a new or young lawyer* and who have never joined a WSBA section. The WSBA will give priority to new and young lawyers who:
Diversity refers to meaningful representation of an equal opportunities for individuals who self identify with those groups that are under-represented in the legal profession based upon, but not limited to, disability, gender, age, familial status, race, ethnicity, religion, economic class, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. Statewide geographic diversity and area of practice shall also be given consideration.
NOTE: Currently, WSBA offers a free section membership to every new lawyer in their first year of practice. If you are in your first year of practice and would like to join a section, click here.

*A new or young lawyer is any member of the WSBA who is under the age of 36 or in his or her first five years of practice, whichever is longer.
