Part of the application process for becoming a certified LPO is to take and pass the LPO exam. The exam is given twice a year in both Seattle and Spokane. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions, two to four essay questions, and a problem section. Four hours are allotted for the exam.
Applicants should have a thorough understanding and knowledge of real property law, real estate law, APR 12, and the LPO Rules of Professional Conduct. Applicants will also be tested on their selection, preparation, and completion of the required forms for a closing transaction.
