Make changes, and review your contact restriction options: (a) online; or (2) by contacting the WSBA Service Center. Do not make changes on the renewal form.

Membership Changes

There is no need to take any action unless you would like to make a membership change. If you would like to make a membership change, follow the procedures indicated.

Mandatory Continuing Legal Education

WSBA members are divided into three MCLE reporting groups based upon year of admission. Your MCLE Reporting Status will be indicated on the License Renewal Form.

Voluntary Reporting of Pro Bono Publico Service Hours

You may report your hours of pro bono publico service as defined in RPC 6.1. Learn about pro bono service opportunities.

License Fees

Learn more about license fees, the Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection assessment (mandatory for Active members), late fees, the Keller Compliance Option and optional charitable donations. For information about the Payment Plan, Hardship Exemption and Armed Forces Exemption, visit the Exemptions and Payment Plan page.

Professional Liability Insurance

Active Attorney members are not required to have professional liability insurance coverage. However, they are required by APR 26 to report to the Washington State Bar Association, on a yearly basis, whether they have coverage. Failure to comply with the disclosure requirement will result in administrative suspension from practice.

Trust Account Declaration

Rule 15.5 of the Rules for Enforcement of Lawyer Conduct requires each Active lawyer to file a Trust Account Declaration by the date specified annually. Failure to file annual trust account information will result in administrative suspension from practice (Amended APR 17).
