What You Will Need to Complete Your Renewal

  • All members must have a valid email address on file with the WSBA (see Login below).
  • If you wish to preserve eligibility to transfer to another membership class upon leaving service as a judicial officer, you will need your credit card number, expiration date, verification code, and the name on the card to pay the $50 annual license fee.
  • You will need your current contact information.
  • If you are an administrative law judge, you will need the citation to the section of the USC, CFR, RCW, or WAC corresponding to your administrative law judge position.

Login

  • In order to use www.mywsba.org, you must have a valid email address on file with the WSBA.
  • If you do not have an email address on file, please contact the WSBA Service Center at questions@wsba.org or 800-945-9722 to add one.
  • Go to www.mywsba.org. Click Login in the top right corner of the screen.
  • If you know your password, click Login and enter your WSBA Bar number in the "Bar Number/Login" and your new password in the "Password" field and click the Login button.
  • If you do not know your password, click the "Forgot password?" link under the Login button.
    • In the "Bar Number/Login" field, enter your WSBA Bar number.
    • In the "Email Address" field, enter the primary email address you have on file with the WSBA.
    • Click Reset Password.
    • Your password will be emailed to you immediately.

    My Profile

    After logging in to mywsba, you will see links on the left:

    • Licensing
      • Use to access your annual license renewal.
      • MCLE
        • Use to access your MCLE roster (necessary for administrative law judges)

         

        LICENSE RENEWAL PROCESS

        Once online licensing opens on October 15th, you may click Licensing and Start License Renewal to begin license renewal.

        WSBA Membership page

        Select one of three options:

        • I want to remain in my current membership, which is Judicial and maintain my eligibility to transfer to another membership class upon leaving service as a judicial officer.
        • I want to remain in my current membership, which is Judicial but I do not want to maintain my eligibility to transfer to another membership class upon leaving service as a judicial officer.
        • I want to voluntarily resign my WSBA membership.

        Judicial Membership - Confirm Address page

        • Check the box if your Public/Mailing Address and Business/Public Phone are correct.
        • Click [Edit my Contact Info] if any information is not correct and edit it.
        • Once the information is correct, check the box to confirm and click Save and Continue.

        Judicial Membership page

        • If the court or judicial position listed is correct, mark Yes.
        • If the court of judicial position listed is not correct, mark No.
        • Select an option to verify how you qualify for Judicial membership.
        • Select the applicable court or judicial position from the dropdown list.
        • If you selected administrative law judge, provide the citation to the section of the USC, CFR, RCW, or WAC corresponding to your administrative law judge position in the field available.
        • Click Save and Continue.

        Join or Renew a Section page

        • To join or renew a section, check the box next to that section. Click Save and Continue.

        License Fee Payment page

        • The box at the top of the License Fee Payment page will list any applicable items:
        • 2013 License Fee (if you have chosen to maintain your eligibility to transfer to another membership class upon leaving service as a judicial officer)
        • Optional Washington State Bar Foundation donation
        • Optional LAW Fund Campaign for Equal Justice donation
        • Sections memberships
        • Late Fee of 30% (if you have chosen to maintain your eligibility to transfer to another membership class and are paying after 2/1/13) (see chart)
        • If you are paying the license fee, you may click the Apply Keller Deduction link for more information or to take the deduction.
        • The annual license renewal includes an optional charitable donation of $50 to the Washington State Bar Foundation, the nonprofit organization that engages members of the bar and public in supporting WSBA’s justice, public service and diversity programs. Click the Adjust WA State Bar Foundation link for more information or to opt out of or adjust the donation.
        • The annual license renewal includes an optional charitable donation of $50 to LAW Fund/C4EJ. This annual campaign helps ensure equal access to justice for all Washingtonians, regardless of financial standing, by raising funds to create a stable base of support for our state's civil legal aid programs. Click the Adjust LAW Fund/C4EJ link for more information or to opt out of or adjust the donation.
        • Enter your credit card type, number, verification number, expiration date, and the name on the card and click Make Payment.
        • Print this receipt for your records and click Continue.

        Licensing Summary

        Current Licensing Renewal and MCLE Status will say “Complete” or “Not Complete.”

        Membership Changes

        If you resign, retire, or complete your term of judicial office, you must notify the Bar within 10 days, and if you want to continue your affiliation with the WSBA you must change to another membership class within the Bar.
