Checklist for Online License Renewal

Online Licensing is open

Deadline: February 1, 2013

 

If you are Active, you must:

• Log in to www.mywsba.org;
• Fully complete the Professional Liability Insurance;
• Fully complete the Trust Account Information;
• Pay the license fee and Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection Assessment;
• If you are in MCLE Group 3 (admitted in 1984-1990, 1993, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2008), complete the C2 MCLE Certification Form.

 

If you are Inactive, you must:

• Log in to www.mywsba.org and pay the annual license fee;
• If you want a free subscription to the Bar News, check the appropriate box during the online license renewal process.

 

If you are Judicial and you wish to preserve eligibility to transfer to another membership class upon leaving service as a judicial officer, you must: 

• Log in to www.mywsba.org;
• Verify your current contact information;
• Confirm your Judicial membership qualifications;
• Pay the $50 license fee.
   

If you are Judicial and you do not wish to preserve eligibility to transfer to another membership class upon leaving service as a judicial officer, you must: 

• Log in to www.mywsba.org;
• Verify your current contact information;
• Confirm your Judicial membership qualifications; 
• Review the Judicial Membership page for more information.

 

If you are Emeritus, you must:

• Log in to www.mywsba.org and pay the annual license fee;
• If you want a free subscription to the Bar News, check the appropriate box during the online license renewal process.

 

If you are changing to Inactive, you must:

• Log in to www.mywsba.org and mark "Change my membership to Inactive" at the start of the license renewal process;
• Confirm the change on the next page;
• Pay the Inactive license fee;
• If you want a free subscription to the Bar News, check the appropriate box during the license renewal process.

 

If you are requesting Voluntary Resignation, you must:

• Log in to www.mywsba.org and mark "Voluntarily Resign my membership" at the start of the license renewal process;
• Confirm the change on the next page.

 

If you are changing to Active, Judicial, Emeritus, or Honorary, you must:

• Review the Membership Changes webpage and follow the instructions.
