Campaign for Equal Justice

The annual license renewal includes a suggested optional contribution of $50 to the Campaign for Equal Justice.

This annual campaign helps ensure equal access to justice for all Washingtonians, regardless of financial standing, by raising funds to create a stable base of support for our state's civil legal aid programs. Your tax-deductible contribution will be acknowledged by Legal Aid for Washington Fund (LAW Fund).

More than 80 percent of low-income people face urgent civil legal problems without any help or legal representation. The consequences are devastating. Civil legal aid programs provide vulnerable families and individuals meaningful access to the justice system. Assistance from a lawyer can make the difference between hunger and food on the table, bankruptcy and economic stability, unemployment and productive work. LAW Fund and its Campaign for Equal Justice raise charitable dollars to provide vital operating support for our state's 25 historically underfunded civil legal aid programs serving those with nowhere else to turn. For more information on closing this justice gap, please visit the Campaign's website.

To opt out of the Campaign for Equal Justice contribution, or to contribute a different amount (larger or smaller), follow the instructions on mywsba or on the A1 License Renewal Form.
