Family Law Committee

Mission

Recommend improvements to the availability and delivery of family law legal services, assistance and information in Washington State for low and moderate income people, including pro se litigants.

On September 1, 2000 a 12-member Family Law Task Force, appointed by the ATJ Board in 1999, completed a draft report and recommendations. The Task Force circulated the report and recommendations widely until February 1, 2001. On June 8, 2001 the ATJ Board formally adopted the report and recommendations. The Honorable Paul Bastine is now chairing a new Family Law Committee that will provide an oversight function to ensure that these recommendations are implemented.
