Statewide Website Advisory Committee

Purpose:

To promote collaborative efforts among websites that provide substantial Access to Justice content and services to the people of Washington state. 

Activities:

  • Share website updates and ideas for improvement.
  • Compile a directory of justice system websites summarizing what information for the public is contained on each.
  • Work together to publicize all justice system websites.
  • Prepare content that can be shared among all justice system websites.
  • Implement and promote Access to Justice Technology Principles via the best practices tools currently being developed.
  • Create joint grant proposals for development of new justice system web content and features.
  • Explore how justice system websites can share resources such as audio/video hosting, technical support, etc.
 

Membership:

 

SWAG brings together representatives from a wide variety of organizations that are members and supporters of the Alliance for Equal Justice, including the Washington State Bar Association, Northwest Justice Project, TVW, the Administrative Office of the Courts, The Washington State Law Library, and many others. The committee is co-chaired by Sue Encherman and Danielle Rebar of the Northwest Justice Project. Pam Inglesby, Public Legal Education Manager of the WSBA, is SWAG's staff liaison.
