PROPOSED RULE CHANGESThe Limited Practice Board has approved new rules and amendments to existing rules. Those rules and amendments were approved by the WSBA Board of Governors at its September 21, 2007 meeting. The rules have been submitted to the Supreme Court for review. The Supreme Court has published the rule proposals for comment. If adopted by the Court, the rules would be effective September 1, 2008, unless a different effective date is set by the Court. Current Status Update: The rule proposals were published by the Court in January. Since submitting the proposals to the Court, the Limited Practice Board has adopted a proposal to make some corrections and changes to the existing proposals. Most of the corrections are typographical, formatting and consistency changes. However, some are substantive. A list of the most significant changes is below. In addition, a list of most of the changes, excluding some typographical corrections, is below.
