Formal Opinion 30.
Sharing Offices
(1954)

You have asked the Committee whether in a very small rural community the act of an attorney sharing office space with a man engaged in selling real estate is a violation of our professional Canons of Ethics. You have asked further whether the office hours kept would alter the situation.

Where the two businesses are separate and apart and the attorney has no interest in the other's business, it is the opinion of the Committee that such act does not violate our Canons of Ethics.

It is our opinion further that the office hours kept have nothing to do with the question involved.
