Rules of Professional Conduct Committee

The Rules of Professional Conduct Committee considers and responds to inquiries from WSBA members arising under the Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) and issues Informal Opinions to assist members in interpreting their ethical obligations in specific circumstances. The Committee may, upon request, express its opinion to the WSBA Board of Governors concerning proper professional conduct in broader circumstances. An opinion endorsed by the Board of Governors is designated as a Formal Opinion.  All WSBA Ethics Opinions are posted online in searchable format for the information of all members. To search the opinions, click here.

The Committee operates under Rules of Procedures that have been adopted by the Board of Governors and meets 6 times a year.
