Presidents' and Governors' Diversity
Scholarship Fund

It is not unusual for today's law students to graduate with an educational debt exceeding $100,000. An obligation of this magnitude clearly deters enrollment, an impediment which has its greatest impact on students of color. In an effort to minimize this detrimental effect, the Washington State Bar Foundation (WSBF) has established the Presidents' and Governors' Diversity Scholarship Fund. Scholarships from this fund will be granted to law students who are Washington residents, including applicants attending a law school outside of Washington.

The fund is composed of contributions from past WSBA presidents and governors. The WSBF is working to establish a balance of $100,000 in the fund.
