Volunteers Needed to Help Settle Disputes

The King County Dispute Resolution Center is seeking King County residents to serve as volunteer dispute conciliators. Conciliators work one regularly scheduled, four-hour shift per week, Monday through Friday. Daytime and evening shifts are available. Volunteers handle a variety of civil disputes including landlord-tenant, merchant-consumer, and neighborhood problems. A 24-hour training program is provided free of charge. Volunteers must make a service commitment of at least nine months in return for this training. To request a volunteer packet and schedule an interview, please call 206-443-9603.
