ABA Seeks Nominations for Harrison Tweed Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2001 Harrison Tweed Award, to be presented at the ABA annual meeting in August. The award was created in 1956 to recognize the extraordinary achievements of state and local bar associations that develop or significantly expand projects or programs to increase access to civil legal services or provide criminal defense services to the poor. Any local or state bar association that has developed or significantly expanded a project or program for providing those services may be nominated. Nominations must be postmarked by March 31, 2001.
