Legal Foundation of Washington Board of Trustees

Application deadline: November 15, 2002

The WSBA Board of Governors is accepting letters of interest from members interested in serving a two-year term on the Legal Foundation of Washington (LFW) board of trustees (one position). Incumbents are eligible for re-appointment (up to two consecutive terms) and must also submit a letter of interest. The LFW is a private not-for-profit organization that promotes equal justice for low-income people through the administration of IOLTA and other funds. Trustees should have a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of the need for legal services and how these services are provided in Washington. Northwest Justice Project Board of Directors

Application deadline: November 15, 2002

The WSBA Board of Governors is accepting letters of interest from members interested in serving a three-year term on the Northwest Justice Project (NJP) board of directors (two positions). Incumbents are eligible for re-appointment and must also submit a letter of interest. The three-year term commences in January. The NJP is a not-for-profit organization that receives funding through the federal Legal Services Corporation to provide civil legal services to low-income people. Board members must have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the delivery of high-quality civil legal services to the poor. Limited Practice Office Board

Application deadline: November 15, 2002

The Washington State Bar Association Board of Governors is accepting letters of interest for two positions (four-year terms) on the Limited Practice Officer Board. These positions commence on January 1, 2003. The WSBA BOG will make the nominations for these positions. The appointments are made by the Supreme Court.  One board position is for a real estate professional. The other board position is for an attorney. Incumbents are eligible for re-appointment (up to two consecutive terms) and must also submit a letter of interest. Washington Pattern Forms Committee

Application Deadline: November 15, 2002

The Board of Governors of the WSBA is accepting letters of interest from members interested in serving a four-year term on the Washington Pattern Forms Committee. A written expression of interest is also required in the event that an incumbent elects to seek a reappointment. The four-year term will commence on January 1, 2003.

The WA Pattern Forms Committee has published updates to the domestic relations, domestic violence, anti-harassment, juvenile court, misdemeanor judgment and sentencing, and felony judgment and sentencing forms. Please see: www.courts.wa.gov/forms
