Think you Might be Bored at the Mid-Year?
Think again!
This year's mid-year promises to be one of the best ever. How do I know this? Because the Washington Young Lawyers have some unusual events planned for you and your family. For the first time, the WYLD has put together a Spouses and Families Activities Program. The opportunity to be active, to learn some healthy habits, and simply to relax, await all who attend the mid-year this coming May.
Throughout the weekend, Get-in-Touch will be offering discounted massages. You may wish to sign up in advance for this all-over-body treat. Slots will fill up quickly. Also, Skamania has a hot tub, heated pool, and sauna for your relaxation needs. Prefer to be more active? No problem. On Friday afternoon, you can choose from the following tentatively scheduled events: a kid-friendly kick-boxing class, a tai chi class, a workshop to help you set achievable health goals, or a kid-oriented tour of the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center. On the tour, children (and adults) will be able to make petroglyph drawings, view a Corliss Steam Engine, witness a fish wheel in action, and listen to a story teller recreate the past.
The fun continues on Saturday. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy a 1.1 mile guided hike to a beautiful waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge. In the afternoon, fitness enthusiasts can enjoy a total body conditioning class. The stressed-out may choose to attend the seminar: Managing Stress with Nutrition. And everyone, whether player or spectator, will enjoy our croquet championship, complete with exciting prizes. Finally, bring your softball glove, bat, and Frisbee to the evening picnic-barbecue, sponsored by Lexus.
We have so much planned for you. We look forward to seeing you there.
