Puyallup Attorney Bryce H. Dille Appointed Washington State Bar Association Treasurer for 2003-2004

Seattle Washington, October 20, 2003—The Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) announces that its Board of Governors, at the October 17-18 Board of Governors meeting in Portland, Oregon, confirmed the appointment of Puyallup attorney and WSBA governor Bryce H. Dille as WSBA treasurer for 2003-2004. Governor Dille, who represents the 9th Congressional District on the Board of Governors, is the current chair of the WSBA Budget and Audit Committee.

"Governor Dille brings to the treasurer's position two years of diligent service on the board's important Budget and Audit Committee," said 2003-2004 WSBA President David Savage. "The Board values his service as an open-minded watchdog of the members' resources."

Governor Dille graduated in 1961 from the University of Washington with a major in political science and a minor in economics. He attended the University of Washington Law School and Gonzaga University, where he received his J.D. in 1966. That year, he received the Bureau of National Affairs Award, which is given to the member of the law graduating class who has achieved the highest grades during the year immediately preceding graduation. Dille was an associate editor of the Gonzaga Law Review.

Dille's practice emphasizes real estate, business, construction law, and healthcare law. He also has many years of experience in estate planning and probate matters. Admitted to practice before all Washington state and federal courts, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court, he is a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity; the Washington State, Pierce County, and American Bar Associations; and the Washington State and American Hospital Attorneys Associations. He has been a member of the WSBA's Disciplinary Board, and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees, as well as secretary-treasurer, of the Pierce County Bar Association. He has been a member of the WSBA Legislative Committee and Continuing Legal Education Committee, as well as Special District Counsel. Governor Dille is listed in "Who's Who in American Law."

About the Washington State Bar Association
The Washington State Bar Association is a private, nonprofit organization authorized by the Washington Supreme Court to license the state's 27,600 lawyers. The WSBA both regulates lawyers under the authority of the Court and serves its members as a professional association—all without public funding. As a regulatory agency, it administers the bar exam, provides record-keeping and licensing functions, and administers the lawyer discipline program. As a professional association, the WSBA provides continuing legal education for attorneys, in addition to numerous other educational and member-service activities.

The governance of the WSBA is vested in its 14-person Board of Governors. There are three governors from the seventh congressional district; one from each of the other eight districts; and three at-large members, one of whom represents the Young Lawyers Division. The 2003-2004 president is David W. Savage of Pullman. The board meets every six weeks at various locations around the state, and its meetings are open to the public. Much of the work of the WSBA is carried out through its 23 standing committees, 24 sections, and a Young Lawyers Division.
