Salary and Benefits Information

We are committed to a compensation philosophy that supports our mission to promote justice and to serve the WSBA members and the public. Our compensation philosophy supports the core value that our WSBA staff, is our most essential resource.

Salaries are set in accordance with a classification and grading system, and a blend of the consumer price index, employment cost index and market salary range movement. WSBA employees participate in the benefits programs of the Washington Public Employee Benefits Bureau (Health Care Authority) and the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Employment benefits are set by the governing rules of those bodies. New WSBA employees can expect to be hired at a salary at or near the beginning of the pay scale, depending on experience. Employee's will receive a Performance Review six months from their date of hire, and then annually. Based on performance, employees can expect to be eligible for increases annually. Employees may also expect periodic adjustments, to reflect increases in the cost of living.
