WSBA Honors Olympia Attorney Trevor Zandell with Local Hero Award
CENTRALIA, WA, March 6, 2026 — The Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) today recognized Olympia attorney Trevor Zandell with its Local Hero Award, celebrating his longstanding service, leadership, and commitment to strengthening the Thurston County community and the legal profession.
Zandell, a partner at Dickson, Frolich, Phillips, Burgess, was honored during a Local Hero Lunch at the Great Wolf Lodge as part of the WSBA Board of Governors’ visit to the Olympia area. The award is presented to legal professionals who have made noteworthy contributions to their communities through exemplary service and dedication.

WSBA President Francis Adewale praised Zandell’s unwavering commitment to serving others. “Trevor embodies the qualities of a true hero,” Adewale said. “His dedication, compassion, and commitment to his community make him a deserving recipient of this award. His accomplishments inspire us all.”
A graduate of Central Washington University and Gonzaga Law School, Zandell has demonstrated a career-long commitment to community leadership. He has served as board president of United Way of Thurston County, vice president of SafePlace, and volunteered extensively as a youth sports coach. Within the Thurston County Bar Association, he has served as president, board member, committee chair, and CLE presenter.
Following the ceremony, WSBA Executive Director Terra Nevitt joined President Adewale in presenting Zandell with his award and congratulating him on his service and leadership.
About the Washington State Bar Association
The WSBA operates under the delegated authority of the Washington Supreme Court and exercises a governmental function authorized by the Court to license and regulate the state’s nearly 40,000 legal professionals, including lawyers, limited practice officers, and limited license legal technicians.
